Integration & Career Continuity Programme

 

The Fall 2026 cohort marks the founding cycle of Sojourn’s structured three-month integration programme in New York.

 

This founding cohort will help shape the refinement and future scaling of Sojourn’s career continuity model for internationally mobile professionals.

Duration: 12 weeks (September–November 2026)

Format: Hybrid — in-person sessions (New York) and virtual modules

Cohort Size: Limited to 10–15 participants

Programme Structure

 

The programme combines structured orientation, coaching, pathway sessions, and applied integration.

 

Part I — Orientation (Weeks 1–2)

 

• Overview of the professional landscape in New York

• Reflection on professional growth priorities for the posting

• Development of an initial integration plan

 

Participants establish a structured framework for the first phase of the assignment.

Part II — Coaching & Goal Definition (Weeks 2–5)

 

Through individual coaching and peer exchange, participants:

 

• Define realistic professional objectives for their posting

• Clarify priorities (employment, professional development, community engagement)

• Establish measurable goals and accountability

 

Each participant concludes this phase with a defined action plan.

Part III — Pathway Sessions (Weeks 4–9)

 

Participants join structured breakout streams aligned with their focus areas, such as:

 

• Employment exploration, including consulting and self-employment

• Voluntary or board engagement

• Academic or structured professional development pathways

 

Sessions provide practical guidance, curated resources, and facilitated peer exchange.

Part IV — Applied Integration (Weeks 8–12)

 

Participants actively pursue defined pathways with:

 

• Progress check-ins and troubleshooting

• Networking engagement

• Peer accountability

• Employer outreach and curated introductions, where appropriate

 

Each participant concludes the programme with either an engagement underway or clearly defined next steps.

Employer Engagement

 

Sojourn undertakes outreach to selected organisations in New York to increase awareness of internationally experienced talent represented within the cohort.

 

Engagement may include:

 

• Structured employer briefings

• Speed networking formats

• Curated introductions, subject to participant consent

 

All introductions are participant-directed and privacy-controlled.
